HOUSE HUNTING IN WEST PALM BEACH, FL
Just a few pictures to give you an idea of our time in Florida looking for houses. We did actually look for houses contrary to the vacation-like photos. We had to bribe Maddie with pool time to get her to be patient with us while we looked at houses. The woman in the tie dye is "Giggles" she was the hotel entertainment one day. She coordinated the kids to do a tug of war, ice cream eating contest, and water balloon toss among other games. Maddie didn't realize it was acutally a competition but she still came in 2nd place and it was pretty close. A little girl at the end of the table cheered Maddie on. She just knew Maddie was going to win. Then a storm came and poor Giggles was left all alone. We walked along the beach one morning and realized it is Sea turtle season. You could see where the mother turtle dragged herself up the beach and laid her eggs.
Pom Pom Trees
Just for future refrence, if you hear Maddie talking about a "pom pom" tree. This is what she's talking about. Over the week we realized that despite her large vocabulary, Maddie often confuses her words. This is only one of many and I really should start writing them down. This reminded me of Lindsay. She did the same thing when she was a child. She often confused the word tentacles with a similar word with a much different meaning...
Miami Seaquarium
Here are some pictures of the Seauarium in Miami we visited. It was interesting to learn that they filmed the original "Flipper" here.
Look what we came home to...
Before we left Maddie had planted a watermelon seed and this is how it looked when we came home from our house hunting trip. Sadly we have given it to our neighbor and will not be able to see the "fruits" of her labor.
